Benvenuti Caldierosso

Tasting Notes:  The wine is a ruby red. The purple label is associated with its initial fragrant aromas of violets and red flowers, which grow into a lavish scent of hyacinth and chestnut honey.  The aromas of ripe raspberries and ripe dark fruit spill into the mouth, with spicy aromas, especially oregano, appearing over time.  It has a strong structure and pronounced tannins. Extremely drinkable, dry, balanced and harmonious.
 
Pairing recommendations: Ideal for pairing with game dishes and roast lamb, as well as grilled meats straight off the BBQ.
 
Serving Recommendation: 14 – 16 °C
 
Vinification:  Vineyards are located 350m above sea level in a stabilized coastal climate (from the nearby Adriatic Sea), resulting in a full expression of fruit in the wine.  Varietals macerated and fermented independently.  Fermentation in steel tanks. Blended after fermentation.  Aged for 12 months in Slavonian oak, 95% in large barrels (2,000L), 5% in small (500L).  Aged in bottle for additional 6 months prior to release.
