Clai Baracija Malvazija
Tasting Notes: "Another terrific wine from Clai, a full, fleshy, vaguely off-dry and aromatic expression of malvazija (aka malvasía next door in Italy), with loads of wet hay, dried flowers, honey, barley and a host of mealy, white and yellow-fleshed fruit aromas and flavours. There's no denying the intensity on offer; this is dense and concentrated, clearly from low-yielding vines, with excellent length. It's not the simple fruity-floral expression one might expect from the variety, but surely compelling and complex. Drink or hold short term, and serve with some full-bodied, southeast-Asian green or red curries, not too spicy. Value rating *****" John Szabo, MS (92 pts)
