Kutjevo Maximo Brut
Grasevina is the most widely planted white grape in Croatia. Here, it's the feature grape in a Cremant (traditional method sparkling wine).
Tasting Notes: Golden-yellow in color, fresh and rich, mineral taste, pleasant acids and fine small fresh beads that spring up longer and harmonize the unfermented malt, luxurious smell of ripe apple with a milder floral component.
Serving Recommendation: 6 ° C
Pairing Recommendation: Seafood and creamy cheeses and light deserts.
Awards: International Wine Challenge 2023 - Silver medal; Decanter 2023 - Bronze medal
Vinification: Created using the champenoise method. The secret of its uniqueness is hidden in a special production technique and aging time, which is also an important factor. The second fermentation in the bottle lasts nine months at a temperature of 13 to 15°C, which takes place slowly so that the bubbles permeate all the pores of the liquid. The bottles are placed at an angle on the cork, and the champagne yeasts settle in the neck of the bottle, which is turned every day in order to evenly distribute the yeasts and created beads throughout the bottle. The top of the bottle is subsequently frozen, and after some time it is opened and expedition liqueur from the ice harvest of Graševina, with a rich taste and aroma (disgorgement) is added. It is corked with a permanent cork and then aged for another three months in bottles so that all flavors and aromas are fully permeated and harmonized.
